What is the ratio between coaches and children?

Our ratios are all within the LTA recommended guidelines:

3 – 4 years = 1:4
4 – 10 years= 1:6
10 + years = 1:8

Do I, or my child, need their own tennis racket?

Regardless of your age and ability, we have plenty of rackets, of different sizes, for you or your child to use. Rackets, which may be borrowed, will be laid out at the beginning of sessions.

What happens if the weather is bad?

We are lucky to have the use of the club’s squash courts so your child’s after-school lesson will always go ahead.

During camps the children will rotate between the squash courts and the clubhouse, which has plenty of space for games and other activities, including table tennis.

What does my child need to bring to a camp?

Children need to be dressed in appropriate sports kit and always bring a rain jacket. They will also need a snack for a mid-morning break, and if they are staying the full day, a packed lunch.

Please bring refillable water bottles to ensure that all children remain hydrated.

We provide all equipment, however, if your child would like to bring their own tennis racket they are more than welcome to. Please do ensure that all belongings are clearly labelled.

I am unsure of which group my child or I would fit into. How do I find this out?

If having looked at our Adult and Junior Coaching pages, you are still unsure, please contact Marina to find out.

Does my child need to be a certain level to attend?

Our coaches are trained to deal with all ages and abilities and therefore will make the exercises/ drills appropriate for the level of their group. We also often have multiple coaches so can split the group according to level if need be.
